2017 J.P. Morgan China Squash Open Brings World’s Best Squash Players to China
Shanghai, August 30, 2017 — J.P. Morgan and SECA are proud to announce the start of the 2017 J.P. Morgan China Squash Open. This highly anticipated sporting event brings together the world’s top professional squash players to compete in Shanghai, including this year’s tournaments top ranked players, Ali Farag and Marwan El Shorbagy in the men’s competition and Nour El Sherbini and Camille Serme in the women’s.
Held at The Peninsula Shanghai 11th floor Palace Suite, with spectacular views of the Huangpu River, spectators will be able to watch and experience matches between 16 of the world’s best male and 16 of the world’s best female squash players as they vie for the J.P. Morgan China Squash Open trophy and be crowned the J.P. Morgan China Squash Open Champion. Both male and female winners will receive equal prize money, a practice advocated by J.P. Morgan in both the sports world and work environment.
In partnership with Non-Profit Incubator, a charity organization that focuses on promoting social innovation and cultivating social entrepreneurs, J.P. Morgan will also be hosting a private Question and Answer session between Ali Farag and a selected group of youth from underprivileged backgrounds at the Peninsula hotel overlooking the squash court, enabling the students to experience the tournament first-hand.
