SHANGHAI, August 6, 2026 – Registration is now open for the JPMorganChase Corporate Challenge Shanghai, happening on November 12 at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center. The 5.6km road race starts at 2:30 p.m. and is open to all businesses, no matter the size or industry—so rally your colleagues, pick your pace, and we’ll see you at the start line.
“The Corporate Challenge is marking its 50th anniversary globally and we are thrilled to be celebrating this fantastic milestone with the Shanghai business community,” said Rita Chan, Co-Senior Country Officer for China, JPMorganChase. “Over the past half a century, the Corporate Challenge has grown into an essential annual gathering for business communities around the world, united by shared running experience and the meaningful bonds they forge at each event.”
The Series debuted with a single event in New York City on July 13, 1977 and has since expanded to 16 locations in eight countries and six continents. The Shanghai chapter has been a consistent success since its China debut in 2011.
“The continued support from companies and colleagues over the years has made the Corporate Challenge a lasting tradition,” said Alan Ho, Co-Senior Country Officer for China, JPMorganChase. “As we look toward to the next 50 years of the Series, we remain committed to bringing people together and supporting the communities where we operate. This commitment is rooted in over 100 years of history in China, where we have continued to build long-standing relationships and contribute to the growth of the communities we serve.”
The Shanghai race follows the Series’ enduring tradition of supporting charities in markets where its events are held. In celebration of all participants, JPMorganChase is proud to support E-Youth as the 2026 beneficiary, helping young talent bridge the gap between campus and the professional world through skills training and hands-on experience.
Descente returns to support this year’s Shanghai event in dual roles—as an Event Sponsor and a competing corporate participant. Runners will receive custom gifts from Descente as companies from across sectors come together to celebrate the Series’ global 50th anniversary.
The 2025 Shanghai event drew over 4,500 participants from 194 companies, with Eaton China (295), Bosch Investment (150), Shanghai Disney Resort (147), Porsche (114) and ADP (107) the five largest companies in terms of entrants.
Companies need to enter a minimum of four employees, and every skill level is welcome on the course. The race and hospitality information is now available on the 2026 event website. For support, please contact shanghai@corpchallenge.jpmorgan.com or 400 8200 421.
