New research provides greater transparency into foreign student enrollment in U.S. higher education institutions.
Enrollment and retention rates remain significant challenges for colleges across the U.S., leading to a growing trend of foreign student enrollments in U.S. higher education institutions. In addition, changes in demography and the economic landscape are shaping the way schools continue to recruit foreign students and partner with local industries and businesses to retain international graduates within the U.S. workforce.
New research from the Global Cities Initiative—a joint project of the Brookings Institution and JPMorgan Chase—aims to equip educational, civic and government leaders with insight into the demographics and economics of foreign student enrollment and which industries and regions international graduates are most likely to pursue post-graduation.
