In May 2004 China International Fund Management Co. Ltd (CIFM) was incorporated as a joint venture fund management company between J.P. Morgan Asset Management (49%) and the Shanghai International Group (51%). The incorporation of this new venture paved the way for the firm to participate in China's growing fund management industry.

CIFM has consolidated its status as one of the most respected asset management companies in China. Headquartered in Shanghai, it has expanded its presence in Mainland China and now has branches in Beijing, Shenzhen and Xiamen, offering a suite of locally managed products and services. In 2011 CIFM entered the international market place when it opened a subsidiary office in Hong Kong.

Futures Brokerage

J.P. Morgan Futures Co., Ltd. is a joint venture company approved by China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). Formerly known as Zhongshan Futures Brokerage Co., Limited, and established in May 1996, it became a joint venture with J.P. Morgan Broking (Hong Kong) Limited in December 2007 and has been renamed as J.P. Morgan Futures Co., Ltd.

J.P. Morgan Futures Co., Ltd, has memberships with three Chinese commodity exchanges including Dalian Commodity Exchange and Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange and Shanghai Futures Exchange.

J.P. Morgan Futures Co. Ltd. received full approval to conduct futures business from the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) in August 2008, allowing the company to undertake brokerage business for commodity and financial futures.

The company offers professional execution, complete service facilities and advanced information systems to provide real-time access to the domestic exchange markets, timely delivery of the latest domestic and international financial and industry-related news.

Securities Joint Venture

J.P.Morgan First Capital Securities Co. Ltd. is jointly established by First Capital Securities Co. Ltd. and J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. Headquartered in Beijing, the company is engaged in offering international-standard investment banking services to Chinese clients, including securities underwriting, financial advisory to corporate M & A and other capital market-related services.
